Boy, do I have a lot to tell you about. Shawn and Carolyn Bunch are our good friends from Sunday School that currently live in China. (They are the ones we do all the traveling with.) They have been trying to adopt a baby for over a year now. Well, they came to the States to visit in early August and found out on the day they arrived that a birth mother had chosen them to be the parents of her baby! She was to be born Sept. 25th in Florida. (No, not from China...it's a long story.) Well, the baby decided she couldn't wait that long and she was born this past Tues, Sept. 2nd! Needless to say, Shawn and Carolyn scurried to find flights and get to Florida as fast as they could. They arrived there yesterday and finally met their baby girl. So, without further adieu, here is the announcement Shawn and Carolyn sent out on email.....
We are very pleased to announce the arrival of Finley Suzanne Bunch, born September 2, 2008 at 6:19 a.m., and placed in our arms September 4, 2008.

We are overcome with emotion and love for this precious little girl. Thank you to all of you for your prayers and support during this time.
We are just enjoying Finley right now, and trying to grasp all of the emotions from today. We look forward to updating you about what the Lord is doing in our lives in the days to come.

We are so thrilled for them and are just marveling at God's awesome plan. Last year at this time, Shawn and Carolyn, Stephen and Suzanne and David and I were all hoping to become parents as soon as we could. Look at how God worked out his plan one year later...the Bunches and the Johnsons have just adopted girls and we are about to have our little boy - all within a few months. God's timing is impeccable. Wonder if he can time it that good on our second children? ;-)
