Cabin Fever

Well, January is not the most eventful months and with us having one of the coldest winters we have seen in a long time, we have been inside way too much. We have been getting a little cabin fever and apparently Tate has been too. We try to get outside whenever there is a little warm up in the weather and sun to play in. Here is a day when Mandy decided to get a few pictures as he played on the deck and in the back yard.

Zoolight Safari

Our zoo membership includes free admission to "Zoolight Safari" during the holidays. Since Tate was captivated by all things involving Christmas lights and often would say "ooooooooo.....lice" while driving past lit-up houses, we thought he would enjoy Zoolight Safari. Unfortunately, it was extremely cold (and we forgot the stroller), but what do ya do? Ya know? You bundle up and forge on! We saw lots of lights, rode the train and visited the petting zoo. Fun was had by all.

Here we are in the "snow" (soap suds...Tate was not a fan). I was impressed at how it looks real in the picture.

Christmas in Dixie

I guess it's about time we put up some pictures from the second half of our Christmas celebration. Mandy's mom came on Christmas Eve and spent a few days with us. Here are some pictures from Christmas Day.

The overriding theme for Tate's gifts this year was "wheels." If it had wheels, then we were pretty certain he would love it. His favorite words right now are "cars" and "tractor." Disclaimer: one of the pics above shows all of Tate's Christmas loot. I promise we did not purchase all of that for him ourselves. It was all his gifts from various family members. :)

Tate and his peeps, including Toby. I made sure to include Toby's picture with his new sweater and toys. Some of you claim that Toby is neglected since the arrival of Tate and I wanted to prove you wrong!

I had to include these three photos because they show one of Tate's favorite gifts from his BeBe. A box of goldfish. And he's looking pretty darn cute in his Griswold Christmas sweater. ;o)
