Family Tradition

About a week ago we traveled down to Orlando (David's hometown) to attend a family reunion of sorts. This included all of David's siblings (with spouses and children...lots of them) and his parents. We had a blast seeing everyone and acting like a kid again ourselves. Tate loved being outside with lots of room to roam and kids to play with. There was a lot that went on, almost too much to tell... but here is a slideshow of the pictures we took along with some video highlights. They include fun around the house, the kids playing at the creek/rope swing and a trip to the Gatorland Park. It was great to see everyone! We love you all!

Quack Quack

One warm Saturday in March, we decided to enjoy the nice weather and get out of the house. We went to Star Lake in Hoover. This is the mecca for ducks and geese during the summer. There is always a crowd of people there feeding the ducks/geese/turtles/fish or walking the trail.

We had a loaf of near-moldy bread so we were armed...but there weren't that many ducks! I guess it was still too cold for them to make their trip back to Hoover. We did find a few who were willing to gorge themselves on more bread.

One of the ugliest ducks I've ever seen.

Feeding the flock from the deck.

One of his many silly faces.

This time last year....

Tate at 6 months old...

Here he was still not steady when sitting up, thus the protection from the boppy.

We had to capture the cutie in his first pair of Converse. Look at the concentration in those eyebrows!

Here he is on his official half-birthday. He is wearing the outfit that he was dedicated in and it is a size 0-3 months! This picture is a favorite because he has such a sweet look on his face.
