Tate's Dedication

Two Sundays ago, on Oct. 12, Tate was dedicated to Christ at our church, Hunter Street Baptist. We were one of fifteen couples that walked the stage, were introduced and received a certificate before our church congregation. Once all the children were dedicated, we, the parents recited a promise to guide our children on a path towards Christ, and the congregation promised to pray for us during this process. Tate received a children's Bible and a certificate that states:

On October 12, in the year of our lord two thousand and eight

Tate Anderson Hartley
was dedicated to Christ and Christian Growth

(And then they put the meaning of Tate and a verse that coincides.)
