Weekend Warriors Episode #674
So...we had been toying with the idea of putting up a new backspash in our kitchen. There was a checkerboard tile from the previous owner that didn't look so hot and we decided, lets just knock it out one weekend. Unfortunately as you see below, along with chiseling tile off, the wall was very well adhered to the tile and came with it. Can open...worms everywhere. (and no, looters or vandals did not break in our house, we did this ourselves)
Fortunately, the Hartley's don't give up that easy. That and we are willing to try anything. After several days of hard labor and much cleanup, we managed to salvage our kitchen back.

David left out the fact that about every 10 minutes he would sing, "painting our walls like chocolate mil - ilk."
HOLY COW! That looks beautiful!...and even more amazing when you look a the mess and lack of walls made it the process. You should have a show!
