We live in "the house on the hill" which meant something had to be done to enable Tate to play on the driveway (one of the few flat parts of our yard) without careening down the hill, never to be seen again. After searching the internet for possible solutions, we settled on a temporary fence that you extend across your driveway to keep children from riding their bikes out into a street. The only problem, it costs more than we were willing to pay. So we took care of it the Hartley way...we made one!
We basically attached hard plastic garden fencing to 2 metal poles. Then David took PVC and put it into the ground on both sides of the driveway. When Tate is ready to play, unroll the fence, put the poles down in the PVC pipes and WAHLAH! you have a Tater keeper! Here's some pics so you can see for yourself.

what a little monkey!!! Poor baby with his boo-boos!!!! First of MANY!!
Very clever invention. I am impressed! I feel ya on the skinned knees. Anniston has never had a scratch, but Hutch is always getting hurt. Right now he has 2 skinned knees and a REALLY skinned elbow. He's tough though...he doesn't even cry!
